CU CHI TUNNELS by land

This tour will take you around the heart of Saigon, covering major highlights of the hustle and bustle city.

Enjoy Saigon’s most historic landmarks including former Presidential Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City.

Next visit outside Notre Dame Cathedral, a red brick edifice with twin spires constructed from materials imported from France. Head across the square to the Central Post Office, constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the late 19th century.

End the morning trip at the War Museum, as part of the Vietnam and World Peace museum system.​

The tunnels of Cu Chi, 35 km northwest of Saigon city. This is known nation-wide having been a stubborn resistance base during both wars of liberation.

The Saigon City was punished during the French occupation and the Vietnam war. Many people live under the ground of Saigon to avoid French and Americans’ captures. It was built during the guerra of Vietnam against the Americans, however they are earlier, were built during the French occupation and were expanded during the Vietnam war. The Vietnamese used tunnels to move from one place to another jungle, attack the enemy, and disappear without a trace.
