The ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, Mekong delta is carpeted in a dizzying variety of greens. It's a water world that moves to the rhythms of the mighty Mekong, where boats, houses and markets float upon the innumerable rivers and canals. It’s this fertile land which creates the open-mind and generous characters of its inhabitants.
08.00: Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Chau Doc town, in the West of Mekong delta.
11.30: Stop at Long Xuyen for lunch in a local restaurant.Continue to Chau Doc and Tra Su Forest, explore this Forest by sampan to visit this eco-reserve of 850ha, home to more than 100 species of water birds and colonies bats. Say hello to a small village of ethnic Khmer and chat with monks at the local monastery.
17.30: Check-in at Victoria Nui Sam Lodge and free time until dinner in its restaurant. Overnight at Victoria Nui Sam Lodge.
After breakfast, at about 08:00, transfer to the pier to embarkation on a small boat to discover Vinh Te canal, next stop at Ba Chua Xu Temple and Sam Mountain, climbing the mountain to view the Mekong Delta from its peak. On the way back, the boat brings you visit one of the many floating fish farms. After leaving the fish farm, proceed to the Cham Village (Muslim Village), opportunities to contemplate Cham People’s Culture as well as visit Cham People’s weave fabric. Then, enjoy a view of Chau Doc Floating Market.
Dinner and overnight at Victoria Nui Sam Lodge.
Free time at your lodge. About 9.00 AM, return to Saigon. Feast your eyes on the dizzying variety of greens. You will pass by the water world of the mighty Mekong, where boats, houses and markets float upon the innumerable rivers, canals and streams that criss-cross the landscape like arteries.
12.00 Stop in Sa Dec for lunch in an ancient house or in a local restaurant. Then continue to drive back to Saigon.
Arrive at your hotel at about 17.00(or later, depending on the traffic).
