Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi

Arrival in Hanoi, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Free time at leisure.

Day 2: Ninh Binh (“Ha Long Bay on land”)

A day of discover lies ahead as you explore Ninh Binh, where the karst formations rise out of emerald rice paddy fields and winding rivers.

Leave Hanoi for Hoa Lu, visit the historic capital of Vietnam and the famous ancient temples of Le and the Dinh Dynasties. Lunch at Tam Coc, then take a boat trip to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Cycle for one hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc – Bich Dong (around 5 km). Return to Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Sapa by local express bus

Depart Sapa this morning. Rice terraces, oolong tea farms, quiet valleys and gorges are among the spectacular scenery you will witness. You will have plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

On arrival in Sapa, check in your hotel.

Day 4: Sapa - Ta Van Village

Start a 4-hour trek exploring the local ethnic minorities life, admire the spectacular natural scenery with the terraced rice fields. Visit Sapa’s ancient rock formations with engraved images big and small, the unique patterns of the ancients, as well as admire the picturesque bridge to the clouds clear over the Muong Hoa stream. Hiking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Enjoy home-cooked dinner and stay overnight in a homestay.

Day 5: Sapa (Giang Ta Chai – Supan – Ban Ho)

Continue trekking from Giang Ta Chai to Ban Ho village, you have a chance to meet the Black H’mong and the Red Dzao tribes, who live in Supan village. Have lunch on the way and enjoy home dinner at an ethnic minority. Join-in homestay with Tay people in Ban Ho village.

Day 6: Sapa – Hanoi by local express bus

Explore Cat Cat village of H’mong – a colonial French discovered area and a renowned resort to officials from the early twentieth century. Visit the Hydro-power station, the waterfall of Cat Cat village, learn about the culture, customs and unique people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, carved silver, hand forged agricultural tools. Sapa town is your own exploration before taking a n express bus return to Hanoi.

Day 7: Halong Bay day excursion

Enjoy a scenic drive through beautiful rice fields of Red River Delta to Halong. Upon arrival, embark a private junk for your 4-hour cruise on Ha Long Bay. Admire the fascinating rock formations of the bay, visit one of the most famous grotto of Halong Bay and cruise to island for swimming, kayaking. Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Hanoi – Duong Lam Village – Hanoi

A journey to Duong Lam village is a trip to trace back the origin of Vietnam's culture and traditions. This is also the great chance explore architecture of ancient houses while wander along its narrow alleyways, visit temples dedicated to the two kings born there (Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung) and interact with local people living in the ancient houses.

Return to Hanoi. Enjoy water puppet performance in the late afternoon.

Day 9: Hanoi – Hue

Take an orientation tour of the historic city by cyclo. Along the narrow streets in the Old Quarter, see many activities of locals along your ride. Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Temple of Literature before flying to Hue.

On arrival in Hue, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 10: Hue Citadel and Princess Ngoc Son's garden house

Commence a trip at the ancient citadel of Hue where is well-known for its historic monuments, which have earned it a place in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Then visit Thien Mu pagoda, one of the most beautiful and ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue city.

Leaving Thien Mu for Princess Ngoc Son’s home. Princess Ngoc Son was a daughter of Emperor Dong Khanh – when she married, her father granted her the land to build a home. Today, it is one of the best garden houses and has been maintained largely in its original form. The house is a classic structure with three bays and two wings. The highlight is a small artificial rock garden. Return to hotel and free at leisure.

Day 11: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An

Take time out to visit the tomb of King Tu Duc, one of the most beautiful tombs of the Nguyen dynasty with sophisticated architectures and charming sceneries.

Say farewell to Hue, then get your camera ready for the spectacular and breathtaking Hai Van Pass before continuing to Hoi An. You will perhaps notice that more than any other places in Vietnam, Hoi An has well preserved the remains of the past which will envelope you as you explore the town.

Day 12: Hoi An

A day of discovery lies ahead as you explore the ancient town. Visit the local market before stopping by the Japanese covered bridge, overlooking Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and an ancient house. Drive to Cam Nam village where there are plenty of photo opportunities. For a deep immersion off the beaten tracks, take a bike along the riverside and through local villages of Cam Nam, a non-touristic area home to friendly locals. End at a green small canal covered by water coconut trees, enjoy a boat cruise on Thu Bon River.

Return to town, explore Hoi An under beautiful lantern lights at night. Get around and visit the lantern market before enjoying Vietnamese folk dancers and musicians perform traditional pieces.

Day 13: Hoi An – Da Nang – Nha Trang

Fly to Nha Trang for your beach relax. You could explore the beach city by walking. Otherwise just laze by one of the pools, on the beach, or replenish your body and soul at a spa with a tropical decorating style. This is actually an ideal time for you to take a deep breath and rest while enjoying the lovely landscapes of Nha Trang.

Day 14: Nha Trang

Embark a boat and cruise out to Nha Trang Bay. There is the opportunity to go snorkeling, diving, water-skiing or kayaking, view the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the underwater. Enjoy a delicious tropical lunch before you return to your hotel.

Day 15: Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City

Take your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, board your comfortable car visit to the Reunification Palace, outside Notre Dame Cathedral (close for the big renovation until late 2019) and Central Post Office. Heading to FITO Museum where regularly shows "A Century of Health Care Experiences". This museum is equipped with a documentary film about the history of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine. Continue visiting Chinatown, the biggest Chinese community in the South of Vietnam. It is full of authentic restaurants as well as cheap street hawkers.

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City – Can Tho

Today after your arrival to Cai Be, explore the waters of the Mekong Delta. You will take a boat trip along one of the small branches of the river.

After disembarking, visit local factories, fish farm and rice paddies. Then, stop by a lush orchard which has diverse tropical fruits: there, chat with the owner, a former veteran to hear stories of his life and walk with him around his garden to taste his fresh fruits.

Embark on a sampan ride to visit the residents of a local 100-year house and enjoy hosted lunch with traditional dishes of Mekong. End your exploration off the beaten fields with a cycle ride around the village before being transferred to Can Tho.

Day 17: Can Tho – Chau Doc

Travel by boat to the township of Cai Rang and its floating market and grap a coffee to start your day. Then, drive to Chau Doc near Vietnam-Cambodia border. Continue on your exploration with Tra Su Forest and travel by sampan to visit this eco reserve of 850ha home to more than 100 species of water birds and colonies bats. Say hello to a small village of ethnic Khmer and chat with monks at the local monastery.

Day 18: Chau Doc

Discover Vinh Te canal, next stop at Ba Chua Xu Temple and Sam Mountain, climbing the mountain to view the Mekong Delta from its peak. On the way back, the boat brings you visit one of the many floating fish farms. After leaving the fish farm, proceed to the Cham Village (Muslim Village), opportunities to contemplate Cham People’s Culture as well as visit Cham People’s weave fabric. Then, enjoy a view of Chau Doc Floating Market.

Day 19: Chau Doc – Ho Chi Minh City

Return to Ho Chi Minh City this morning, feast your eyes on the dizzying variety of greens. You will pass by the water world of the mighty Mekong, where boats, houses and markets float upon the innumerable rivers, canals and streams that criss-cross the landscape like arteries.

Day 20: Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc

Taking a short flight to Phu Quoc Island. Balance of the day is free at leisure.

Day 21: Phu Quoc – Free day

Choose one of the optional tours for today. Relax on the water of Sao Beach or take a dip at the Tranh Waterfall. You might also want to take a boat trip for diving and snorkeling or explore the quiet Vung Bau Beach. If you feel adventurous, hike through the Phu Quoc National Park. Get to know the local activities here by visiting a pepper plantation or a fish sauce factory where the workers will show you their secret of fabrication. If you prefer entertaining yourself, enjoy your time at Vinpearl theme park. This evening, after a long day, watch the sunset at Long Beach and enjoy night party on the beach. You can also spend time with the fishermen who will be pleased to take you for fishing squid at night.

On your last day, no activities are scheduled until sending off. Your holiday concludes today after breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
