WEEKEND in BAGAN (from Saigon)

Take your flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Yangon. Upon arrival in Yangon, take a domestic flight to Bagan. When you arrive in Bagan (the land of thousands pagodas), pick up and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Lunch and dinner on your own. 

Overnight in Bagan 

Take the time to soak up the atmosphere that will give you a special nostalgic feeling. Start to visit the colourful Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi (a cave temple with exquisite jatakas mural paintings), the elegant Htilominlo Temple (plaster carvings) and the Tharaba Gate. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant en route.

In the afternoon, visit Ananda temple (an architectural masterpiece of early-style temple), Ananda Okkyaung (one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period), Thatbyinnyu Temple (the highest temple in Bagan, rising to 61 m) and Dhammayangyi Temple (remarkable brickwork). Watching sunset over the old Bagan at one of the highest temples and you will have an unforgettable experience. Return to the hotel. Diner on your own.

Overnight Bagan 

After early breakfast, transfer to the Nyaung U airport for flight back to Yangon and connect an international flight return to Ho Chi Minh City.
