COLORS of RED RIVER DELTA

If you are not used to the trafic jam and the noise in Ha Noi city, the best thing we suggest you is going out to Ha Noi’s suburban to meet local people and discover the real life of Red River delta. This attractive and lovely tour in Duong Lam and Ky Son villages will offer you the especial experiences about a simple and peaceful life in the countryside of Vietnam’s North.

Day 1: Hanoi - Ky Son Village

From Hanoi, get transfer to Ky Son Village, a hamlet of the historic Duong Lam Village, home to many traditional houses which some of them are over 200 years old. This charming village is located at 55km to the west of Hanoi.

Upon arrival in your homestay, you will be welcomed by a cup of local fresh green tea. Enjoy your free time to explore the village when you have the choice to go to the local market or the kindergarten or simply wander around. If you want to learn more about the secrets of the Vietnamese cuisine, take part in the cooking class. Then, appreciate your lunch served at a local house before your traditional herbal hand massage. Meanwhile, you can interact with your hosts or just relax.

Get to know the daily life of the local people with a cycle ride to Ky Son, Tam Son, Van Minh and Cham farming village communities. This is the chance for you to learn about and take part in agricultural activities such as plowing or making rice beds, transplanting seedlings, harvesting rice. Get to  collect tea and fragrant medicinal herbs necessary for your  steam bath and for the foot “spa”.

When you’ll be back to Moon Garden, enjoy your drink and taste some of the local products such as maize, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts, etc.; then take a steam bath composed with fragrant herbs (lemon grass, pomelo leaves, holy basil leaves). After a long day, appreciate a hosted dinner at the homestay. Get to know the rituals when you’ll learn how to witness the local worship. Conclude your existing day by a relaxing footbath in warm water with ginger, salt and mugwort medicinal herbs.
